Governor's Tour
Ten of the smallest rodeoshave been invited once again to join together to create the Governor’s NM Rodeo Tour 2008. Points will be awarded to the top NMRA members in each event at each rodeo. Members also receive one point for contesting at the Governor Tour Rodeos. There is no Tour Finale scheduled at this time. Prizes (to be arranged) will be awarded to the top finisher in each event at the NMRA finals.

6. Colfax Co. Fair Rodeo, Springer, NM Aug. 11-12, 2008
7. Chama Days, Chama, NM Aug. 10-11, 2008
8 Otero Co. Fair Rodeo, Alamogordo, NM Aug. 15-16, 2008
9. *Elfego Baca Shootout, Reserve, NM Aug 22-23, 2008
10. *Prewitt Labor Day Rodeo, Prewitt, Nm Aug.31-Sept 1, 2008

Nothing would change at the tour rodeos other than having the ‘tour stop’ designation.
It is the goal of the NMRA to increase the participation at all the tour rodeos while at the same time further promoting the sport of rodeo in New Mexico.
